Before Sunset

Movie time..

Okay, another one for you. Completely different.

Before Sunset is the story of a couple who were together for one steamy night, and then agreed to meet at a specific time and place later on. They didn't, for various reasons, and then they had no way to contact one another. Until now. It's nine years later, and the guy (Ethan Hawke) is a published writer. You can guess what his novel is about. The girl (lovely Julie Delpy) catches up with him at a book reading, and it goes from there.

Now here's the strange part. Very little actually happens. Lots and lots of stupendous dialogue, and not much else. Oh, except this is in Paris, so just standing around, or having a coffee, or walking down the street... are all beautiful.

If you'd like to listen intently, and remember some things from your past, and learn a few things about yourself (some of which you might not like), and be entertained, and laugh, cry, sympathise, get angry, love and live... well maybe this is the way. Just for the afternoon.

Oh, one more thing... Before Sunset is a sequel. A sequel to Before Sunrise, the story of that first night. I've never seen the first movie. You don't need to... but I think I have to now.
